Sask Selects Return from
San Antonio Texas
after winning Three Championships
It has been quite the winter for the Sask Selects Football program as they return home from the International Border War tournament in San Antiono Texas with three championships. The Sask Selects were able to be crowned the champs in the Varsity, Varsity B and 14U Divisions while also finishing 2nd place in the 13U and 10U Divisions after losing out to some great teams in the finals.
The Selects went to Texas expecting hot weather but found themselves in weather Canadians are more accustomed to up north. With the weather quite chilly and wet you can say it was advantage Canada as they over came the cold start of the tournament and found their teams playing in 5 of 6 Championship games come Sunday. You could say that it was a pretty great weekend of football and a great way to cap off the Sask Selects tenth anniversary season.
Congratulations to all the players, coaches, volunteers and amazing parents on an amazing Selects season. And a huge thank you and congratulations to Deb and Zeljko Stefanovic on a great 10 years! What an amazing anniversary season!!
