The Saskatchewan Selects are getting set to welcome Mexico to Canada this summer.
After nine winters travelling to the United States, the Selects are preparing to host the International Pigskin Classic Canada coming up in July against teams from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
From Tuesday, July 16-Sunday, July 21, the Selects will host a high-performance skills camp followed by a weekend tournament against teams from Mexico.
The camp will be divided into three groups: 12-and-under, 14-and-under and 16-and-under.
The teams will run through skills work during one practice on Tuesday, two on Wednesday and Thursday each, and another on Friday morning before the games kick-off that night.
Registration will be $300 for the week, including $100 fundraising tickets to recoup some cost. Accommodations are also available at Luther Residence on the University of Regina campus for $60 per day.
