Evaluation Camp – Nov. 17-18
Our November Evaluation Camp provides 10U, 12U, 14U, and Varsity players with ten hours of combined on-field coaching and meeting time.
Our Evaluation Camp is a fantastic training opportunity for any football player, and we welcome even those who are not interested in the winter program and the travel.
We offer a low player-to-coach ratio and will have not only our Selects coaches, but also coaches from U Sports, CJFL and the Red Raider Selects Football group out of San Antonio, Tex. Players will receive high-level coaching in position-specific skills, as well as the opportunity to develop as a player in a competitive environment.
Those players that are interested in the winter program and competing in San Antonio, Tex. in Feb. 2019 will be evaluated by our coaches in a small-group environment. Players will be evaluated not only on his or her skill set coming into the camp, but also on their ability to adapt to their own evaluation coaches’ preferred style of play or techniques. Should the athlete be selected to the team after the Evaluation Camp, they will be offered a spot on our roster, and after an additional 50 hours of preparation, will accompany the Selects program to San Antonio to compete for their province and country in the International Pigskin Classic.
In addition, there are a select number of practice roster spots available in the program. Players must attend the Evaluation Camp to receive an offer of a practice roster spot. These players will have the opportunity to practice with their respective age group for the entirety of our practice hours in Saskatchewan, as well as participate in the Selects Bowl on Jan. 5-6, 2019. This is a great opportunity to develop as a player.
The quality of the Selects program comes from the hours of winter preparation that many Canadian athletes do not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.
